Stueber, Jerome P. "Jerry"
Of Muskego. Passed away peacefully on Monday, February 4, 2013 at the age of 83. Loving husband of Marjorie Kexel Stueber for 61 years. Loving father of Susan (Quintin Lake) Stueber, Deb (Fritz Stever) Stueber, Paul (Laurel) Stueber and Lorri (JT Cross) Stueber. Grampy of Olivia and Evelyn Stueber. Brother of Helen Kraus and Ralph (Cecelia) Stueber. Jerry was also a loving uncle, friend and teacher.
As a dedicated teacher at Muskego High School, he was devoted to educate, inspire and motivate students for 33 years. Jerry pushed for the Observatory at MHS and through that developed an astronomy club. He could often be seen filming the football and basketball games. His love of photography helped put together the photo staff that was responsible to provide pictures for the year book and newsletter among other things. In 1978 he was awarded the top honor of Wisconsin State Teacher of the Year.
He was a member of the Kiwanis Club, Muskego Photography Club and was instrumental in promoting proper lighting in Muskego to protect our night skies.
Jerry will be sorely missed. He always had a smile and a positive attitude. He had a great gift of gab and always had a way to make you feel special. He will always be our shining star.
The Celebration of Jerry's Life will be held in the Olive Wood Theater at Tudor Oaks Retirement Community, S77 W12929 McShane Dr., Muskego, on Saturday, April 27 starting at 1 pm.
The family has designated the Alzheimer's Association and the International Dark-Sky Association for memorial contributions.
