Alice Euretta Postotnik (nee Baum) found peace surrounded by her family, joining her beloved husband, Raymond, on June 17, 2021, at the age of 89, after a courageous battle with cancer. Alice’s compassion and kindness was sprinkled on all who knew her, especially her family. Lovingly survived by her children Linda (Peter) Adams, Jacquelyn (Jeffrey) Heinz, Raymond (Mary) Postotnik, Sandra Postotnik, Marcia (Jeffrey) Gloudeman, Kurt Postotnik, and Kevin (Renee) Postotnik. Alice was a world-class grandma to 18 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren. She is further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends. She is preceded in death by her husband Raymond, parents Orien and Florence, and by her five siblings. Alice graduated from Juneau High School in Milwaukee and loved playing violin, theater, and modeling. She considered herself a dabbler, who liked to do many different things, such as sewing clothes, drapes, dolls and doll clothing, upholstering furniture, gardening, crafting, cooking, dancing, playing cards, and most of all having fun! Alice was proud of her diverse and talented family. Lovingly called “Grandma Go-Go,” you couldn’t slow Alice down. She was always ready to kick up her heels and whip up a legendary party in no time! Especially loved were the annual Postotnik Christmas Parties. She shared family traditions and passed down favorite recipes, like Euretta Baum’s Chicken & Noodles. Alice was a lifelong travel enthusiast, and being blessed with so many children and grandchildren, she always had fun places to visit and family vacations to attend! Alice was an inspiringly strong woman. When her husband died suddenly in 1987, Alice leaned into her passions. She worked at the Mitchell Park Domes as a master gardener, volunteered at Sacred Heart Parish, was a docent at Ten Chimney’s, ushered at the Pabst Theatre, and performed as a Dancing Grannie. Alice never stopped having fun, making silly faces, wearing hats and costumes, and being a sassy, playful woman! Although she left us too soon, we knew she was never ours to keep. We take comfort in knowing that she passed seamlessly from life to life and is now our angel and advocate in heaven. To quote Alice, “See ya when I see ya. Love Yas!” Visitation will be held at the Max A. Sass & Sons Mission Hills Chapel from 4-7 PM on Thursday, June 24, 2021 with a vigil at 6:30 PM. Additional visitation will take place on Friday, at Sacred Heart of Jesus Church (3635 S. Kinnickinnic Ave., St Francis, WI) from 9-9:45 AM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 AM with burial to follow at Mount Olivet Cemetery. Services will be streamed live on Alice's obituary page, Tribute wall, and on the funeral home's website. The family would like to thank the Froedtert Hospital Cancer Center and Dr. Ben George.
