Gallow, Barbara June (nee Klapkowski) Joined her beloved husband Bernard, on March 2nd, 2018, at the age of 81. Barbara was born to John and Sophie Klapkowski (nee Kopczynski) on June 30th, 1936 in Milwaukee, WI. There she was raised alongside her twin sister Bernice, Carol, Audrey, Diane, and Marcella. In 1959, Barbara married her beloved husband Bernard. Together they raised three daughters, Debra, Kathleen, and Sharon. In 1968, they moved their family to the pink house in Milwaukee. They enjoyed only eighteen years of marriage before the unexpected passing of Bernard on December 12th, 1977. As a child, Barbara worked several small jobs, including a pickle and candy factory. Barbara began working at Briggs & Stratton, where she would work more than twenty years before retiring in 1996. She later moved to Arizona, along with her beloved dog, Punky, to be closer to her sisters, but especially her twin (Jeannie) who referred to her as Bones. Barbara lived in AZ for eighteen years where she helped remodel four homes, but only after shed put on her work shoes. She loved hearing and watching the jets from nearby Luke Airforce Base, swimming, walks in the Arizona sunshine, and meeting people along the way. She often said that she wished her health was better so that she could have helped others. Barbara came home to visit yearly, then to stay in 2014, to be closer to her family. She liked the game Rumicub. She was Gene Autrys biggest fan, had all of his music, even life-size cutouts of the famous artist in her home. She was an organizer, unfortunately placing things where she thought they belonged, never to be found again…. In our homes! One family member referred to her as Boss. She was determined to do things herself, even in the end, she wanted to do things her way, and she certainly did. She loved animals, especially her grand-dog, Carly. The feeling was mutual because Carly never left her side after she became ill. Barbara was preceded in death by her husband Bernard; parents John and Sophie Klapkowski (nee Kopczynski); step father Wendly Wanta; twin sister Bernice DeMarte (nee Klapkowski; along with sisters Audrey Gallow (nee Klapkowski) and Carol Carroll (nee Klapkowski); nephews Chuck DeMarte and Gregory DeMarte; in-laws Robert Gallow, Marion Wargolet, and Adeline Haberlein.
