David M. Scholl age 68, of West Milwaukee passed away on July 2, 2014 in his sleep. David was born on April 21, 1946 in Madison, WI the son of Melvin and Myrtle Scholl. During his early childhood David lived in Darien and Delavan, WI. When he was 11 years old the family moved to Green Bay where he attended school and graduated from East High School in 1964. After high school David attended the University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh and the University of Wisconsin-Madison. The best of times growing up were spent playing baseball with his father and brothers. With a ball diamond in the front yard, David with the baseball, and Daryl with the glove they were always ready. The best of times growing up were spent playing baseball with his father and brothers. Believe it or not, there were times when tackle football was played indoors. Shooting hoops in the backyard was another highlight. So now you know why David was an avid sports fan of the Milwaukee Brewers, Milwaukee Bucks and the Green Bay Packers. Now for his love of the trucking industry, that came from his father. David would go to his dad's garage and help on the weekends and his summers off. David began working for his father's trucking company, Bulk Transport, in McFarland, WI. He assumed ownership after the death of his father in 1973 and remained there until 1978. He then moved to Milwaukee where he continued his career with Tank Transport as the Operations Manager until his retirement in 2013. He always looked forward to his annual fishing trip with his buddy, Kevin, at Three Lakes. He loved to travel and see the world. He spent last January in Hawaii with his dearest friend Beth Onosko and recently returned from a month of touring Italy with his good friend Peter Papara. Most of all, he loved spending time with his family and his many loving friends. He was a soft spoken man with a huge kind heart. He had a unique ability of making friends with all the people that crossed his path. Our lives will not be the same without David; he is missed and will remain in our hearts always. David is preceded by his father, Melvin D. Scholl and his nephew, Eric D. Rasmussen and his step-father, Franz Wyttenbach. David is survived by his mother, Mrytle Scholl Wyttenbach of Sauk City, WI; two sisters, Elaine Scholl and Karen (Scholl) Rasmussen both of Green Bay, WI; two brothers, his twin, Daryl (Lorena) Scholl of Milwaukee, WI and Duane(Diana) Scholl of Silverton, OR; nieces, DeAnna (Michael) Barr of Palm Coast, FL, Lisa (John) Basten-Spychala of Bayview, WI, and Brenda (Andy) Filopoulos of Greenfield, WI; his great-nieces Jen Basten, Amanda (Lance) Basten-Gunnlaugsson, Kaytlyn Ribich, Emily Ribich, Erika Spychala, and Grace Barr; his great-great-nephews, Rowan and Layton Gunnlaugsson.
