Helen E Starck )Nee Koltunski) Born September 26, 1929 and went back unexpectedly to Heaven December 13, 2020. Only child of John A. and Helen V. Koltunski. Her Fiery red hair matched her sweet temperament. Helen graduated from St. Ritas Grade School in West Allis, WI in 1943 and graduated from Mercy High School in 1947. She met the love of her life skiing in Mitchell Woods and married Kenneth P Starck before God and family/friends on September 16. 1950 who preceded her in death and was waiting to welcome her into heaven. She always said she had their wedding right before her birthday so he would never forget either. She celebrated her birthday the whole month on September in great style. When she turned 90, she finally got her butterfly tatoo that she always wanted. Her greatest joy were her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren whom she loved to babysit. Loving mother of Joan (Dave) Jaeckels, Phil (Sue), Ann (Dale) Tominsek, Paul and Peter. Proud grandmother of Jason (Kellie) Starck, Amanda (Mike) Kleber, Steven (Kari) Tominsek, Megan (Ben) Reif, Eric (Kim) Tominsek, Courtney (Jeff Morris) Starck and Owen (Alicia Gara) Starck. Great grandmother ofmSullivan and Killian Starck, Lara and Nadia Kleber, Theodore Reif, Jocelyn, Elias, Jeffrey and Layla Starck and Landon, Carter and Nathan Starck. Memorial visitation Saturday January 2, 2021 from 10-10:45 am followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11 am at St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church (5571 S. Marilyn St., Milwaukee). Private interment Mt. Olivet Cemetery. Helen was employed at the Airways and Nino's for many years until her retirement. She was active in Greendale American Legion post# 416 as past president of the Women's Auxiliary, Honor Guard, and carried the Prisoner of War flag in many local parades and a chaplain for the 4th District. She also volunteered at the Clement Zablocki Veterans as a deputy. Helen loved to bowl, play bingo, and have small sips of bourbon and water. MomResided at Mitchell Manor the last few years and had many great friends there. She kept in touch with some of her friends since kindergarten and grade school, Betty Unger, Janet Kennedy, and Virginia Chybowski. And close friends through the years John & Teri McDonald, Evelyn Van N, Martha Rutkofske, and Mike Grubb. Thank you to Dr. Rodek, the staff at St Lukes Medical Center and anyone else who helped keep mom comfortable in her final hours. One lasting piece of advice that she always told her grandchildren and also wants It passed onto her great grandchildren is" Boys fart and girls have gas on their tummies".
