Horace Jack Ransby was born on November 29, 1933 in Neunan, Georgia. He left this world on December 15, 2019 at the age of 86. When he was two years old his family moved to Detroit Michigan. He attended Wayne State University and Central Michigan where he acquired his Bachelor of Science degree. He found the love of his life Glenda Mae in 1955 at his father's place of business the "Cellar Door" They were married August of 1960. To this union was born Lettice Marie, Jaclynne Jewel, and Timothy Jack (adopted in 1983). While trying to pursue a medical degree, he found a scholarship to University Leuven, Belgium. This was the beginning of his World travels. During his medical degree quest he went to Algiers Algeria, Addis Abba Ethiopia, and Valetta Malta. Horace and his family returned to the States and moved to Atlanta, Georgia in 1967. He moved his family to Milwaukee in 1969, where he found employment at the Great Lakes Naval Base. During his time in Milwaukee, Horace found faith in Islam and joined Mosque #3 in Milwaukee, WI. Horace worked as a Health Inspector for the City of Milwaukee for seventeen years before retiring. He, being a very busy man, opened his own business HJR Investors Inc. where he served the community for over 20 years as a property owner and manager. Horace leaves his love with Glenda Mae, Lettice M. Pinel, Jaclynne J. Lopez, Timothy Ransby, seven grandchildren: Jazmine, Shakir, Ja'Kari, Iyanna, Tatianna, Ja'Loni, and Ja'nai, two great-grandchildren: Jeremy and Jaxson; brother William, sister Ruth and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. Visitation will be held at Max A. Sass & Sons-Greenridge Chapel on Thursday, December 19 starting at 11AM until time of Service at 1PM. Horace will be laid to rest with Military Honors at Southern Wisconsin Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Union Grove on Friday, December 20 at 10AM. Please meet at the cemetery.
