Melloch, Irene D. (nee Ludka) On August 3, 2013, at 99 3/4 years, God reached out His hand and Irene took it. Re-united with all those who went before; Her beloved husband, Henry, sister, Rosalie (Gail) Newkirk, brothers, Valentine, Raymond (Julia), Eugene, and Stanley Ludka. Survived by daughters, Patricia (Bruce) Eltzroth, Christine (Edward) Skeehan, and Janet Melloch. Grandma to Eric Eltzroth, Debora (Thomas) Green, Timothy (fiance Nicole Larocco) Skeehan, Kristie (Jeffery Copsey) Scott, Kelly (Mathew) Adair. "Nana" to Nichole (Jamie) Scholl. "Gigi" to Shayla, Nathan Eltzroth, Erin, Patrick, Quinn Green, Zachary Adair, and Henry Scholl. Further survived by former son-in-law Michael Piotrowski, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Pre WWII, Irene, along with Henry, owned and operated "Irene's Pastry Shop". She was always proud of the delicious bakery hand-crafted and created by Henry: after trying others, customers always came back to "Irene's". Member emeritus, St. Cecelia Choir, with whom she lifted her voice, in song of prayer, for over fifty years. Member of Blessed Sacrament Christian Women. Retired from Gimbels. "Skippy" shall run and not be weary. Visitation at the Max A. Sass & Sons Funeral Home on Monday, August 12, 2013, from 4-7 pm, with a prayer service at 7 pm. Further visitation at the Funeral Home on Tuesday, August 13 from 9:30-10:30 am, followed by a procession to Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church, 4005 W.
