Leonard A. Konkol

Konkol, Leonard A. Born to Eternal Life on Saturday, September 21, 2013, at the age of 87. Preceded in death by his beloved wife Antoinette (nee Pacholczyk), loving parents Boleslaus and Frances, and dear sister Bernadine Pracki. Loving father of Daniel (Maureen), John (Linda Shuda) and James (Patricia). Loving grandfather of Jacqueline, William, Gregory, Kyle and Jacob. Further remembered by other relatives and friends. Len retired from General Electric after 35+ years. He was proud of his work on the United Way Committee there and enjoyed being a member of the GE Quarter Century Club. He was a 48 year member of St. Paul's Parish and served as Festival Chairperson, Holy Name Society President, and St. Vincent DePaul Treasurer. He was a WWII U.S. Army veteran. He will also be remembered for his Christmas Beer Song on You Tube. The family has designated the St. Vincent DePaul Society at St. Paul's for memorial contributions. The family would like to extend a special thanks to the nurses of Wheaton Franciscan Hospice and to the nurses and staff of St. Francis Terrace. Visitation at the Max A. Sass & Sons Mission Hills Chapel on Wednesday, September 25 from 4-8 pm. Additional visitation on Thursday at St. Paul Catholic Church, 1720 E.
