Pientka Marion J (nee Winkel) Found peace Saturday, February 16, 2013, Age 88. Beloved wife of the late Bernard "Ben". Dear mother of Dawn (Paul) Fleischer and Janet (Scott) Sarnow. Grandmother of Kim (Greg) Buetel, Aaron Fleischer, Eliott (Heidi) Sarnow and Jessica (Joe) D'Acquisto. Great grandmother of Megan, Matthew, Kaitlyn, Scott, Cienna, Chase and Salvatore. Further survived by other family and friends. Visitation at the funeral home, Thursday, February 21, 4-6:30 pm. Funeral service at 6:30 pm. Burial from the funeral home Friday 10-10:30 am to Arlington Park Cemetery. In Lieu of flowers, memorials appreciated to Zion United Church of Christ or the Wehr Nature Center. Marion was born and raised in Chilton, WI and moved to Milwaukee prior to WWII to work as a secretary until she met Ben. She belonged to Wehr Nature Center, Wilson Park Senior Center, was a member of St John's Art Club, attended many classes at LaFarge Lifelong Learning Institute and MATC. Marion was a lifelong member of Zion United Church of Christ where she taught Sunday school for 21 years. She played piano, the harmonica and created beautiful art work. She enjoyed gardening, animals, and traveling with Ben in the US, Canada and Europe and continued to travel after his death. She was known for playing her harmonica in every new country she visited.
