Mark W. Janeczko Sr.

October 17, 1953 — November 26, 2021

Mark W. Janeczko Sr. United with God on November 26, 2021 at the age of 68 years. Beloved husband of Jane Janeczko for 47 years. Loving father of Melissa (Adam) Smith and Mark Jr. (Janell) Janeczko. Dear grandpa of Grayson and Kylie Smith and Brayden and Weston Janeczko. Brother of Jackie (Bob) Walsch-McCabe and Al (Sandy) Janeczko. Further survived by brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews other relatives and friends. Mark was preceded in death by his parents Alvin S. and Adeline D. Janeczko, and his sister Marcia Janeczko. Mark was currently retired but previously worked as a Senior Leader for various corporations throughout his career. Mark was a very devoted husband, father, and grandfather. He was very proud of his wife, children, their spouses, and his grandchildren. Mark was always there to offer love, support, and advice. Mark and Jane met 50 years ago. For their 1st date Mark took Jane to McDonalds and they have enjoyed their lives together ever since. They experienced many things together for the first time and were pretty much inseparable. Mark and Jane had many mutual friends they enjoyed socializing with. They are the love of each other’s lives. That love is what brought Melissa and Mark Jr. into this world, and you could see that love projected as they raised their children. Mark prioritized family above all else. As his parents got older, he made a point to help and care for them. Mark enjoyed going on school field trips with Mark Jr. and Melissa, reading them bedtime stories, and having family movie night complete with Kopps ice cream. The family enjoyed vacations throughout most of the United States, Mark planning a full agenda to maximize their time away. The four of them also enjoyed quieter times in their cabin up north, or at a Best Western enjoying pizza poolside. Mark always looked forward to spending time with his son fishing, hunting, attending brewers’ games and concerts. Janell was thrilled Mark agreed to go to the Kiss concert with Mark Jr., and they had such a great time they had planned to go again. Whether a casual visit or a holiday open house, Mark also enjoyed popping in at Melissa’s house for a visit with the family, a bite, and a drink. He always enjoyed Adam’s cooking. Mark treasured his grandchildren and looked forward to celebrating their birthdays, milestones, and other accomplishments. Spending time with family at holiday celebrations and random family dinners you could see the happiness in his eyes. He took pride in watching Brayden play T-ball, and Grayson baseball. Mark insisted Grayson sign a baseball so he could have his first one, saying it would be worth something one day. We knew it was already priceless to him. “Grandpa J” or as Weston would call him “button,” gave good hugs and snuggles. Kylie is Grandpa’s girl and loved to snuggle with him while watching TV. While we know he is at peace with God he will be missed by all of us. We love him with all our hearts. Visitation at the MAX A.
