Melvin E. Smerlinski

Melvin E. Smerlinski age 90 of Milwaukee, February 13, 2015. Husband of the late Margaret. Dad of Brian (Jan Renk), Neil (Sandy) and Lynn Guyot. Grandpa of Amanda and Maddie. He is also survived by nieces, nephews other relatives and friends. Mel began adulthood during WWII and served in the United States Marine Corps, during April of 1943 through February of 1946. He served as a Staff Sgt and was overseas with the Philippine Campaign , Marine Bombing Squadron VMB=611. After the war, he then married his wife Margaret, who left us in April of 2003. Mel worked for Milwaukee County and spent his career working as a Real Estate Supervisor. Mel was a loving father, grandfather and uncle. He will be missed dearly. Visitation will be on Tuesday, February 17 from 5 PM until time of service at 7 PM with military honors at Max A. Sass & Sons Funeral Home, 1515 W. Oklahoma Ave. Private entombment at St. Adalbert Cemetery.
