Michael John O’Hara, aged 74, found peace having said goodbye to this plane of existence on August 24, 2021. Beloved husband for 53 years to Beverly O’Hara. Devoted father of Meagan Wyrowski and father-in-law of Jeremy Wyrowski. Further survived by other family and loved ones. Michael proudly served in the United States Air Force during the Vietnam War. He was a member of Smith Steelworkers having retired from AOSmith and Tower Automotive. During his teens, Michael strengthened his love of animals and the environment when he joined the Wisconsin Youth Conservation Corps. As an ardent woodworker, he enjoyed making toys and furniture for his loved ones. Michael was also an enthusiastic reader and was passionate about the Packers, big band music, classic cars and Nascar. Michael was known for his quiet, gentle demeanor and dry, sarcastic sense of humor. His love and strength surpassed the physical limitations his body gave him. Despite his multiple medical battles, Michael maintained an optimistic outlook and determined resolve. Visitation at the Max A. Sass & Sons Westwood Chapel on Sunday, October 3 from 1 – 2:30 PM. Celebration of Life service at 2:30 PM. Burial with Military Honors at Highland Memorial Park on Monday, October 4 at 1 PM. The following charities were close to Michael’s heart.
