Savarino, Raymond Age 89. Reunited in heaven with Marie, his beloved wife of 59 years, on Friday January 16, 2015. Born March 14, 1925 to Celia and Joseph Savarino in Houston, Texas. Raymond served during World War II in the Pacific as a Navy Phamacist Mate 1C. He met his wife while stationed at Great Lakes Naval Station. Retired from Schlitz Brewery. Member of Grace Lutheran Church. Lifetime member of VFW 3742. Beloved father of Ronald (Mary) and Richard (Carleen) Savarino. Proud grandfather to Jolyn (Andy) Zamora, Steven, Stacy and Andrew (Rebekah) Savarino. Special Great Grandfather to Xandra, Samantha, R.J., Jaclyn, Nicholas, Adrianna and Wyatt Savarino and Great Great Grandfather to Emma Lynn. Loving companion to Isabelle Smith. Dear brother to Rebecca (Tony) Hernandez. Further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Preceded in death by his parents, his wife Marie (Greuel), and his sisters Lupe Sirman, Gloria Packard, and Olga Bothwell. A visitation will be held at the Max A. Sass & Sons Southshore Chapel, South Milwaukee on Tuesday January 20th from 5 PM until time of services at 7:30 PM. Interment Forest Hill Memorial Park. Family and friends please meet at the funeral home on Wednesday at 11 AM for the procession to the cemetery. In lieu of flowers donations to the Alzheimers organization would be appreciated.
