Dominiak, Rev. Gerald John Age 74 years, lost his valiant battle with cancer and returned to the Lord on April 5, 2005. Dearest brother of Robert Dominiak and Dorothy (Gerald) Hock. Loving uncle of Debbie, Diane, Timothy, Mary and Debbie. Dear friend of Audrey Baldewicz. Further survived by other relatives and many friends. Father Dominiak graduated from Saint Francis Major Seminary in 1959 and was ordained to the priesthood on May 30, 1959 by the Most Reverend William E. Cousins, Archbishop of Milwaukee, at the Cathedral of St. John the Evangelist, Milwaukee. He began his priestly ministry in 1959 as an assistant at St. Mary of Czestochowa Parish, Milwaukee during which time he taught part-time at the newly opened Dominican High School, Whitefish Bay. In 1966, he was appointed as assistant at St. Helen Parish, Milwaukee; in 1969 he became a full-time faculty member at Dominican High School; in 1980 he became an associate at St. Roman Parish, Milwaukee and then Pastor in 1981; and in 1986 became Pastor of St. Cecilia Parish, Thiensville. When his term expired in 1988, he moved to St. John Vianney Parish, Brookfield as associate Pastor. A Concelebrated Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Monday, April 11, 2005 at 7pm at ST. JOHN VIANNEY PARISH, 1755 N. Calhoun Road, Brookfield. Priest classmates and friends are invited to concelebrate; please bring an alb and white stole. Visitation will take place at the Church on Monday, beginning at 12noon and continuing until 645pm. Private interment St. Adalbert Cemetery.
