Robert Eugene Chappie

Chappie, Robert Eugene Passed away at home into Eternal Life on March 30, 2013, at the age of 74, with his family at his side. Bob built a house and home in Greendale, WI, where he spent his last 45 years. Beloved husband of 53 years to Christine (nee Merkel), loving father of Daniel (Jenny) Chappie and Debby (Steven) Spott and adoring, proud grandfather to Ryan and Kyle Spott. Dear brother to Kenneth (Edna) Czaplewski, Carol (Thomas) Sheahan and Richard (Lynn) Czaplewski. Dear brother-in-law of Kathleen (Bradley) Miller, Noreen (Normand) Valcourt, David (Pauline) Merkel, Darla Merkel, Darrell (Karen) Merkel, Pauline (Donald) Dorsan, Donald (Mary) Merkel and Janeen (Daniel) VanDerboom. Further survived by many adoring nieces, nephews, friends and relatives. Bob spent 40 years at Eaton Corporation before retiring to spend more time on his true passion, golf. Bob was a long-time member of Edgewood Golf Course. He was also a volunteer at St. Luke's Hospital. Bob attended every school and sporting event of his grandchildren and shared his enjoyment of golf and boating with his family and friends. To know Bob was to love him. Bob's kind heart and genuine desire to have fun were an inspiration to all. He lived his life with integrity and he has touched many lives with his sincere smile. He will be deeply missed. Chris and Debby would like to thank the Horizon Hospice Center for their assistance and support. Visitation on Thursday, April 4, 2013 from 9am to 10:45am at ST. ALPHONSUS CATHOLIC CHURCH, 6060 W. Loomis Road, Greendale with the Funeral Mass at 11am. Entombment at Mount Olivet Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials to the MACC Fund would be appreciated.
