Robert John Mayer

Mayer, Robert J. Age 90 years. Feb. 1, 2007. Beloved husband of Dorothy (nee Wachal) for 65 years. Loving father of Mary Remington, Robert (Janis), Richard (Jackie), Joel (Laurie) and Daniel (Jill) Mayer. Proud grandfather of Jacob (Renee), Adam (Krista), Bobby (Julie), Tracy (Dave), Christian (Melannie), Ashley (John), Matt, Luke and Nicholas. Further survived by 9 great-grandchildren, a sister Margaret (Luke) Loomis, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. In his early years Bob worked at Allis-Chambers and later owned and operated with his brothers, R. A. Mayer Equipment in St. Martins. He was also a life-long member of Sacred Hearts/ St. Martin of Tours Church and active in the Golden Agers and the Franklin Senior Citizens. Mass of Christian Burial 6:30 PM Tues. Feb. 6, 2007 at ST. MARTIN OF TOURS CATHOLIC CHURCH, 7963 S. 116th St, Franklin. Private interment St. Martin of Tours Cemetery. Memorials to the church or mass offerings deeply appreciated by the family.
