Sharon L. Curtis

(Nee Blakslee) Born to Eternal Life September 4, 2022 at the age of 71. Beloved wife of Thomas Curtis, Loving mother of Lanny (Tina) Curtis, and Summer (Jeremy) Kimble, Dear grandma of Blake and Brynn Curtis, Jameson and Fiona Kimble. Beloved soul sister to Jane Coleman. Further survived by beloved niece Bleu Blakslee, and nephews, nieces, cousins, other relatives and friends.


Sharon was co-author with husband Tom of 11 award winning Romance Novels from the years 1977-1986. Sales of over 2 million copies and published in 13 languages. She also worked for 26 years as a bookstore manager for 5 Waldenbooks stores in Southeastern WI.


Sharon was born in Dhahran, Saudi Arabia daughter of Kathleen and George Blakslee. Her father George was a geologist employed by Getty Oil who traveled extensively, and her mother Kathleen was employed by the American government in overseas work. Both her parents served with honor in WWII for the US. Sharon spent her childhood traveling and living in Iran, Pakistan, the Canary Islands, Canada, and England. She received her education at the Tehran American School in Iran and Marymount International School in London, England. She had many fond memories and friends from these schools and travels. Her wit, warm humor, and love of travel and books has inspired a generation of family and friends. She will be deeply missed by those who knew and loved her.


Visitation at the Max A. Sass & Sons Greenridge Chapel (4747 S. 60th St. Greenfield, WI) on Thursday September 15, 2022 from 4 PM until time of service at 7 PM. Interment will be at Chapel Hill Cemetery Greenfield, WI on Friday September 16th.
