Amelia Piraino

Amelia Piraino (nee Santamaria) was called home to the Lord on March 15, 2023 at the age of 74. Beloved wife of Cosimo for 54 joyful years. Loving mamma of Gabriella and Sergio (Kelly). Dearest sister of Pasqualina (Salvatore) and Giuseppe (Rosy). Preceded in death by her parents Elvira (nee Rocco) and Tullio Santamaria. Further survived by in-laws, nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends both in the US and Italy.

Amelia loved gardening and her passion was cooking, especially for friends and family. She loved spending time with friends and family where she was the life of the party; she loved to make people laugh and always had a smile on her face.

Visitation will be held at Max A. Sass & Sons-South Shore Chapel (1314 Manitoba Ave., South Milwaukee) on Monday March 27 from 9-11AM. After visitation, we will process to Nativity of the Lord Catholic Church (3672 E. Plankinton Ave., Cudahy) for the Mass of Christian Burial at 12 noon. Entombment will follow at Mount Olivet Cemetery. Afterwards, there will be a luncheon at Meyers’ Restaurant (4260 S. 76th St, Milwaukee) at 3:30pm.  In lieu of flowers, memorials appreciated to American Stroke Association (stroke.org).
