Anita Louise Profit-Demkowski, born on December 28, 1943 in Mt. Carmel, PA, passed away peacefully on November 24, 2025 in Muskego, Wisconsin.

Anita's remarkable journey began with her education, culminating in a Masters Degree from Bloomsburg University in 1971. This dedication to academic excellence laid the foundation for a career in education. From 1966 to 1980, she served as an instructor at Geisinger Medical Center, where she shared her extensive knowledge and passion for learning. Subsequently, from 1980 to 2000, she continued to inspire students as a professor of Microbiology at Penn State University. 

On August 14, 1965, Anita was united in marriage to Richard Profit. Together, they built a life filled with love and laughter until his passing. She is preceded in death by her husband, Richard, and by her parents, Albert and Agnes Gunther.

Anita's vibrant personality shone through in all aspects of her life. She was known not just for her intellect but also for her hilarity, wit, and occasional sarcasm, which crafted an engaging atmosphere wherever she went. Her passions extended beyond the classroom; she found joy in gardening, reading, bird watching, and caring for animals. Anita was also a proud democrat, advocating for her beliefs with passion.

She leaves behind her loving daughters, Angela Fawcett and Alisa (Michael) Kopp, who will forever cherish the lessons and experiences shared with their remarkable mother. Additionally, she was a beloved grandma to Adam Kopp and Ava Kopp, who brought joy and pride into her life.

Anita's legacy will be remembered by her family and all the lives she touched throughout her career and personal endeavors. She will be greatly missed but fondly remembered for her laughter, kindness, and unwavering spirit.
