Anne K. Bourne passed on July 12, 2026, attended by her loving and devoted husband of 75 years, Harold O. Bourne "Hob" in Bayside, Wisconsin. Anne lived 91 years and will live in our hearts always.
She was born Annie Katherine Roach on September 17, 1934, in Yakima, Washington, to Elma Dear (Blevens) Roach and Arnold “Jack” Roach. Anne grew up in the outskirts of Yakima with her siblings Virginia, Arnold “Buck”, Eleanor, Donnie and Sammie. She is survived by her older brother Buck.
Anne and Hob were married in Ft. Benning, Georgia on June 22, 1951. They settled in Brown Deer, Wisconsin after dancing through 30 years of Army life, both at home and abroad, while raising five children: Steve (Darla) Bourne, Debbie (David) Allen, Cindy (Dave Lenzi) Bourne, Linda (Tim) George and Valerie (Dave) Sletto. Anne doted on her 10 grandchildren: Amber, Kristi, Phil, John, Grant, Samantha, Nick, Greg, Chelsea and Katherine, and 25 great grandchildren.
Anne was an avid reader of all genres. She was fond of collecting antiques, especially clocks. Active in the Officers’ Wives’ Club, Anne served in various leadership roles, participated in fashion show luncheons and even performed as Elvis – a performance that kept the wives talking for months. As a member of Albright United Methodist Church, Anne served in leadership positions and was well known for her decorative window displays, annual Christmas Tea and after-service coffees. Her love of singing in the choir was evident, her beautiful soprano high notes were not to be missed.
Memorial services will be held at Albright Trinity United Methodist Church, 5555 W. Capitol Drive, Milwaukee, Wisconsin, on Monday, July 20, 2026. Viewing at 11:00 a.m. with services following at 11:30.
