April A. Ahl-Nowak, born November 11, 1957, in Milwaukee, passed away peacefully on May 16, 2026, in West Allis. Throughout her life, April was a radiant presence whose spirit touched the hearts of many. Her journey from her early days in Milwaukee to the depths of her faith up north in Minocqua shaped a woman who was outgoing, funny, and the kind of friend everyone wished to have.

April proudly graduated from St. Mary's Academy, a foundation that supported her lifelong dedication to kindness and community. She was also the proud owner of April's Angels Cleaning Service, a testament to her entrepreneurial spirit and her desire to support others both personally and professionally. Above all, April considered her greatest and most cherished accomplishment in life to be a mother.Known for loving laughter and having fun, April was beloved for her warm snuggles and unwavering love, offering comfort and joy to everyone lucky enough to know her.

Her days were often filled with simple yet cherished pleasures. Watching "White Christmas" during the holiday season, karaoke and swimming in Bolger Lake with friends and family brought her immense joy and created beautiful memories shared with loved ones. An avid reader and devoted movie enthusiast, April appreciated the quiet moments when she could lose herself in a good book or film. Above all, she treasured her morning rituals with a good cup of coffee and the deep connections she nurtured with those around her.

April's love and devotion extended to her family, who remain her enduring legacy. She is survived by her daughter, Jamie (Peter) Hendricks, along with her grandchildren, Gabrial Miliacca, Gideon Miliacca, Connor Hendricks, and Kelan Hendricks, who continue to carry her spirit forward. Her boyfriend, Mike Claffey, along with her beloved niece and nephews, cousins, friends, and extended family members, also cherish her memory deeply. The profound loss is felt keenly as she was preceded in death by her parents, Charles and Eve; her sister, Linda; and her children, Nicole and Daniel.

A visitation will be held on May 29, 2026, from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM at Max A. Sass & Sons Funeral and Cremation Oklahoma Chapel, located at 1515 W. Oklahoma Ave, Milwaukee, WI 53215.
