Barbara Ann Czysh, born on November 14, 1936, passed away peacefully on May 29, 2026, at Azura Memory Care of Oak Creek, Wisconsin. Her loving husband, Ronald Czysh, was by her side at the time of her passing.
Barbara was a woman who warmly embraced life and the people around her. She was outgoing, friendly, and gregarious—a fun-loving person who delighted in connecting with others. Her love for people was evident in her daily interactions, especially during her cherished career at Siegel’s Liquor, where she found joy in her work and spent many hours engaging in conversations with customers. Barbara’s orderly nature harmonized with her vibrant personality, making her both reliable and approachable.
Barbara had a spirited curiosity that often led her to approach strangers, never shy about starting a conversation—even to ask where another woman got her hair done, as she was rarely satisfied with her own. Her hobbies reflected her warm and nurturing character; she loved to rummage through treasures and enjoyed baking, sharing these simple pleasures with family and friends alike.
She took great pride in her nearly 53 years of marriage to Ronald, a testament to their enduring bond and mutual devotion. Alongside Ronald, Barbara is lovingly remembered by her daughter Tammy Greig and many grandchildren: Dan (Dana), Jason (Kim), Amanda (Dustin), Brandon, Jesse, Allie, Brittany, and Chloe (Brandon). Her legacy also lives on in her numerous great-grandchildren—Brooks, Gabby, Jackson, Beckham, Annika, Landyn, Brody, Tenley, Tayah, Mason, Daisy, Avonne, Eyla, and Freya—who will carry her spirit forward in their lives.
Barbara was preceded in death by her parents, Irene and Frank, and her son and daughter, Scott Greig and Terri Greig, whose memories are held dear by all who knew them.
The family would like to extend heartfelt thanks to the staff at Azura Memory Care, who provided exceptional care for Barbara and exhibited kindness and compassion toward her visiting family throughout her time there.
A Memorial Gathering will take place on June 27, 2026, from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m., followed immediately by a Memorial Service from 4:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. Both events will be held at Max A. Sass & Sons Funeral and Cremation Mission Hills Chapel, located at 8910 W. Drexel Avenue, Franklin, Wisconsin 53132.
Barbara Ann Czysh’s warmth, friendliness, and love for life touched all who had the privilege of knowing her. She will be deeply missed and forever remembered with respect and affection.
