Barbara Ann Gamoke, a loving mother, and true friend to many, of Franklin Wisconsin was called to eternal rest and into the arms of her Lord, Jesus on September 16th, 2026. Barb was born to John and Verna Wahleitner (Krause) February 13th, 1946, in Milwaukee, WI. Her passing was sudden, doing what she loved, spending time in the parks and nature, walking. She generously donated time volunteering around the city, was an energetic Wisconsin sports fan, truly loved meeting and talking to any new friend along her journey. A pure heart who always made time for those in need.

She is survived by her son Craig Gamoke, and the many hearts she touched on her daily walks and in life.

She was preceded in death by an infant child, her parents; John and Verna Wahleitner, her brother John, and her sisters; Frances and Joan.

A celebration of her life and Mass will be held on Friday September 25th, 2026 at Old St. Mary’s Catholic Church, 844 N Broadway in Milwaukee, WI. Visitation from 8:30 – 10:00 am, Mass of Christian Burial 10:00 – 11:00 am. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in her name to the Wehr Nature Center at https://www.friendsofwehr.org , a place she loved and spent much time on her walks.
