Redovich, Barbara Jean (nee Kozina) Passed away peacefully on July 7, 2014 at the age of 82. Cherished wife of Dennis for 53 years. Devoted mother of Mary (Tim) Gharrity, Frank (Grace), Amy (Brad) Schultz, Anne (Greg) Ruden and Lori (Mike) Hanlon. Proud grandmother of 17: Joey, Emily, Michael, Patrick, Anna, Jake, Zachery, Allison, Kelly, Olivia, Garrett, Jack, Nicole, Leah, Daniel, Sydney and Thomas. Preceded in death by her parents, Dr. Frank and Arlene Kozina, brother Dr. Tom Kozina, sister Carol Harding and twin and very best friend, Mary Iglar. Visitation Friday 4-5:45 pm at St. Alphonsus Church (6060 W. Loomis Road, Greendale) with a mass of Christian Burial at 6 pm. Private entombment Mt. Olivet Cemetery. Barbara graduated in 1950 from St. Mary's Academy and earned an elementary education degree from Marquette University. She taught at Mound Street School in Milwaukee until she stopped to raise her children, later returning to teach at Victory Elementary in Milwaukee. An avid sports fan, Barbara followed all of her favorite sports teams, especially the Brewers and Packers. She loved cheering on her children and grandchildren. Playing bridge, trips to casinos and lunch with her family and friends were her favorite activities. A longtime member of St. Alphonsus Church, Barbara served on many committees and volunteered her time and talents throughout the years. She never ended a day without a piece of pie or other sweet treat. In lieu of flowers, memorials to the Alzheimer's Association to benefit her husband, Dennis.
