Barbara L. Shelley

Barbara Lee Shelley (nee Kuester) of Milwaukee, WI passed peacefully with her children at her side on September 22, 2025 at the age of 85.

Preceded in death by her parents Sophia and Helmer; her sisters Jeanne, Sherry, and Marlene; her husband, Vernon; her daughter Cindy; her son-in-law Jeff; and by her grandson Noah. She is survived by her in-laws Jerry and Julia Stein; children Mike (Sue) Barnhardt, Kim Czerwinski, Jody (Gary) Stratton, Peggy (Chuck) Wenzel, Kelly Farrell (Doug), Tammy (Dave) Tracy, and Julie Howard. Barbara was blessed with 19 grandchildren and 36 great grandchildren. Many incredible nieces, nephews, extended family, card playing buddies, friends, neighbors, and caregivers.

Barbara was an avid hunter; she often bagged the biggest buck. She loved, owned, and raised horses, dogs, and cats. She loved to travel, bowl, and play sheepshead. She also loved her Packers, never missing a game. But most important to Barbara was being with her family.

A memorial gathering will be held at Max A. Sass & Sons- Greenridge Chapel (4747 S. 60th St., Greenfield) on Saturday, September 27 starting at 10AM until the time of memorial service at 12 noon. In lieu of flowers, donations in Barbara’s name would be appreciated to the animal charity of your choice.
