Bonnie L. Senkowski
December 21, 1948-October 7, 2026
Bonnie L. Senkowski 77, of Reedsburg, Wisconsin passed away peacefully in her home surrounded by her children, family and loved ones on October 7, 2026. She was born in Madison, Wisconsin on December 21, 1948, the youngest of four children to George and Violet (Pollow) Esser.
Bonnie's love for her family, zest for life, and joy in singing, was reflected in the sparkle in her eyes, the warmth of her smile and her contagious laugh.
Being the baby of the family may have had some perks and surely her older brothers and sister could tell us stories of mischievous activities (like hula-hooping in the house). Upon meeting Bonnie her charismatic personality would just draw you in, and soon you felt like family. Bonnie's love for her family abounded. She would share stories that told the tale of what her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren were up to. She showed up at events, when people least expected her.
Bonnie's love for music, singing and chorus was only second to her love for her family. She was part of The Choral-Aires, Crosstown Harmony, Yahara River, and Forward Harmony Choruses and many quartet groupings, always singing bass, and a great bass singer she was! Her choral singing has spanned over 30 years.
Bonnie began her career in administration for the State of Wisconsin, she worked for different companies advancing her experience in that field, until landing a lead position for JF Shea, Inc.. Here she found a place that would become the job she loved, working with and meeting people who would become longtime friends that she would call family. This role took her family to a couple of new homes, but she knew it was where she wanted to be, she retired from JF Shea, Inc. in 2013, to take on the next adventure, called retirement!
A true Wisconsin sports fan, whether it was the UW or the pros, Bonnie proudly cheered on her favorite teams through every win and loss. Her love for Wisconsin sport teams was a lifelong passion that brought her joy and countless memories.
Bonnie could be known to enjoy a good mystery-crime show or book. When she wanted to reminisce of times spent with her sister, she would tune into Hallmark to watch a movie. Then there were times she felt nothing could beat sitting outside in the sun with a good crossword puzzle.
Bonnie married Floyd Hudson, creating Bonnie's greatest achievement-her children. She later married Bob Senkowski, July 16, 1983, and truly believed she met the love of her life. Together they found love that many only dream of. They hosted Easter with family for over 40 years. Pool parties could be planned or happen spur of the moment, both situations meant memories were being created. There was no guessing when you arrived at any event if Bonnie and Bob were there, their symbolic license plate (BS N BS) gave them away every time!
Bonnie is survived by her children, Georgette Schmidt, Ginger Hudson (Craig Prucha), Charles (Brienne) Hudson, Guy (Judy) Senkowski, Robert Senkowski Jr., Darci Senkowski, Cheryl Hudson-Gerald, Charlene Nibert.
Her Grandchildren, Dani, Bobbi, Shawn, Owen, Austin, Mariah, McKenna, Guy, Eric, Andrea, Morgan, Marshall, Faraday and Ava.
Many loving Great Grandchildren, this group continues to grow.
Sister-in-law, Mary Esser, Aunt, Betty (Pollow) Zibell.
Many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Preceded in death by her husband Bob (Robert) Senkowski, her parents George and Violet (Pollow) Esser, her brothers and sister-in-law Darvin Esser, Gordon & Nancy Esser, her sister and brother-in-law Karen and Allen Young, son-in-law Jim Schmidt, son Curt Hudson, and the father of her children Floyd Hudson.
