Carol Lee Bremberger

Carol Lee Bremberger, née Duerrwaechter, passed away on September 4, 2026, in Wauwatosa, Wisconsin, surrounded by her family at Zilber Family Hospice. She was born on July 20, 1955, in Milwaukee, Wisconsin.

Carol will be remembered as a devoted mom and grandma whose life was centered on caring for others. Her family knew her as gentle, patient, and someone who always put others first. She had a kind and compassionate spirit, an easygoing nature, and a good sense of humor that brought comfort and warmth to those around her. Family-oriented in every sense, Carol found her greatest joy in the people she loved.

She graduated from Catholic Memorial High School in 1973. For many years, Carol worked at MasterCraft Builders in a clerical office role, where she gave the same steady dedication that marked every part of her life. She enjoyed sewing and crafts, and above all, she treasured the time she spent with her grandchildren.

One of the great blessings of Carol’s life was her marriage to Patrick Bremberger. They were united in marriage on April 29, 1978, at St. John Vianney in Brookfield, Wisconsin, and shared 39 years together. Their marriage and the family they built remained a lasting source of pride and love in her life.

Carol is lovingly survived by her children, Jeremy Bremberger, Jennifer (Nicholas) Kunz, John Bremberger, and James Bremberger and his wife, Erin. She was the proud and cherished grandmother of Tyler, Aubrey, Wyatt, Charlotte, Samuel, Luke, Jay, Molly, Mason, Olivia, Noelan, and Finley. She is also survived by her brother, James Duerrwaechter and his wife, Lynn.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Patrick Bremberger, and by her parents, Vyler and Marie Duerrwaechter, her brother Robert Duerwaechter and grandson Caleb Bremberger.

Visitation will be held at St. Stephen Catholic Church on Friday, September 19, 2026 from 9:00-10:45 AM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 AM. Burial will be private at St. Charles Cemetery in Burlington, WI. Flowers are welcome or contributions in remembrance of Carol can be made to Blood Center United.

Carol’s life was a beautiful example of patience, compassion, and quiet strength. She gave generously of herself, loved deeply, and created a family legacy grounded in warmth and devotion. She will be dearly missed and lovingly remembered by all who knew her.
