Carol Leatrice Zimdars, age 97, passed away peacefully on August 22, 2026. She was born on June 22, 1929, in West Allis, Wisconsin, to the late Arnold and Ruth Wenzel.

Carol was the beloved wife of the late Leroy “Lee” Zimdars. She was a loving mother to Karen (Thomas) Tylicki and a proud grandmother to Stacy (George) Novotny.

Carol worked as an executive secretary at The Le Roi Company, where she formed many lasting friendships. She remained connected with her former coworkers through a card club. Carol also worked at Pleasant Valley Norbie Baker’s restaurant in West Allis as a waitress.

Carol enjoyed an active and social life. She loved golfing and was a member of the Greenfield Golf Women’s League and the New Berlin Women’s Golf League. She also enjoyed bowling and was a member of the Early Risers Bowling League at Thunder Bowl. In her free time, Carol enjoyed playing Sheepshead and Bingo and spending time with family and friends.

Carol will be lovingly remembered by her family and friends for the many years of memories and companionship she shared with those around her.

A graveside service will be held at Pinelawn Memorial Park on Thursday, August 27, 2026, at 12:30 p.m.
