Catherine Elkins

Catherine Elaine Elkins (nee Schirmer). Born on March 7, 1956 to Stanley G. and Harriet L. Schirmer in Oconomowoc, Wisconsin. Died on August 29, 2025 in West Allis, Wisconsin. Graduated in 1974 at Oconomowoc High School. 

She is survived by her 2 daughters; April (Andy) Fugiasco and Jennifer (Mikey Dietrich) Elkins, her friend/ ex-husband Robert Elkins, Jr., her (literal!) lifelong friend, Ann (Micheal) Savagian, her "brother " Greg Zwieg, Sister-in-law Roxanne (Robert) Hultman, many cousins from Minnesota, Kansas and Texas, and several friends she grew up with whom became her honorary brothers and sisters. She is preceded in death by her parents, several cats, her dear great grandmother, Louisa Kimes, and "sister" Mary Zwieg.

Many people have known her from her years of customer service in Oconomowoc at McDonald's, Kmart, Pick 'n Save, and Fleet Farm; and in Hartland at Piggly Wiggly. She enjoyed working with the public and spending time with her family, who will miss her so very much!

Visitation will be held at Banner Church (1500 South West Lane, New Berlin, WI) on Friday, October 10th from 1 -3 pm with the service to follow at 3 pm. In lieu of flowers, you can send donations to the American Heart Association.
