Charles Pogorelcnik, of Milwaukee, WI, passed away on October 31, 2025, at the age of 82. "Chuck" was born January 30, 1943, the son of Julia (Kotze) and Charles Pogorelcnik.
Chuck dedicated many years of his life as a civil engineer for Milwaukee County, where his hard work and quiet dedication helped shape the community he called home.
Outside of his career, Chuck found true love in the joy of the outdoors. He loved hunting, spending time in the woods, and caring for his land. This deep respect for nature and conservation led him to be named tree farmer of the year in 2019 by the Wisconsin Woodland Owners Association. This accolade was followed by Regional Tree Farmer of the Year honors, which reflected both his skill and heart for the land.
Chuck was preceded in death by his parents and sister, Julie Price.
Chuck is survived by his nephew Daniel (Michelle) Price, great-niece Brooklyn Price and niece Dianna (Walter) Richardson,, dear friends who were family to him, Norman and Beatrice Weiland, "Uncle" to Anna (Charles) Schmidt, Joshua (Neva) Weiland, Jessica (Mark) Toigo and Matthew (Jeannie) Weiland and many other family and friends.
Visitation and memorial mass will be held at St. John's the Evangelist Catholic Church (8500 West Cold Spring Rd., Greenfield, WI 53228) on Friday, December 19th, 2025. (visitation at 10:00-11:00, mass immediately following).
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Wisconsin Woodland Owners Association scholarship fund, St. John's the Evangelist Catholic Church in Greenfield, WI, The Dominican Sisters of Sinsinawa, or St. John's Catholic Church in Prentice, WI.
