Christopher Martinez, 60, of New London, passed away peacefully on Sunday, August 23, 2026. He was born on April 30, 1966, in Lockney, TX. He will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing and loving him.
Chris was an outgoing, adventurous, and dependable man who found great joy in the simple pleasures of life. He was a devoted Green Bay Packers fan, enjoyed dining at new restaurants and trying new foods, and, most of all, cherished the time he spent with his grandchildren. His family was his greatest source of pride and happiness.
In 1988, Chris enlisted in the United States Navy, proudly serving his country until his honorable discharge in 1995. He carried with him the values of service, loyalty, and dedication throughout his life.
Chris shared 46 wonderful years with Jackie, building a life filled with love, family, and countless memories. Together, they created a strong and loving family that will carry his memory forward.
He is survived by his children, Chris (Morgan), Kristen, and Liza (Carley); his beloved grandchildren, Jordan, Mario, Jaiden, Avyha, Nina, Mason, Elijah, Amelia, Isiah, and Everly; his sister, Dora (Justin); his mother, Dolores; as well as nieces, nephews, other relatives, and many dear friends. He was preceded in death by his father, Reymundo Sr.; his brothers, Reymundo Jr., Juan, Geraldo, Rudy, Danny; and his nephew, Juan.
Chris leaves behind a legacy of love, laughter, adventure, and devotion to his family. Though he is no longer with us, the memories he created and the love he shared will remain in the hearts of his family and friends forever. He will be dearly missed and lovingly remembered.
