Constance “Connie” Zakszewski, age 70, passed away peacefully on July 25, 2026 surrounded by family.

Connie was truly one of a kind. She will be remembered for her kind heart, infectious sense of humor, and the joy she brought to everyone fortunate enough to know her. Whether through a laugh, a thoughtful gesture, or simply her presence, Connie had a special way of making people feel loved and welcome.

She was the loving sister of Mark (Karen), Patricia Sexton, Richard (Barb), and Brian (Sheryl), and was deeply cherished by her nieces and nephews: Michael, Nicholas, Elizabeth(Bill),Kristina, Morgan,Genevieve(Ethan),Brady (Samantha), Anthony, Bella, Lily, and Great nephew Isaac she was more than just a aunt, more of a grandmother and mother. all of whom brought her great pride and happiness.

She was preceded in death by her parents Donald and Claudia who welcomed her home.

Connie spent many of her days enjoying the company of her best friend, Evonne. Her and Evonne worked together for 40+ years and enjoyed getting lunch at new spots around Milwaukee. She also loved her furry companion, Mr. Clooney. She was known for her bowling, having breakfast at The Forum with Brady, day trips to Fondulac to see Beth, or picking up a Bahn Mi sandwich for her brothers.

Connie leaves behind a legacy of laughter, kindness, unique spirit, and unconditional love. She will be deeply missed by her family, friends, and all whose lives she touched.

A celebration of Connie’s life will be held on Friday July 31, 2026 with a visitation from 2 until 5 pm followed by  a prayer service and eulogies at 5 pm at the Max A. Sass & Sons Greenridge Chapel. In honor of Connie, those who knew her are encouraged to share a laugh, and remember the beautiful spirit that made her so unforgettable.

The family would also like to extend a huge thank you to the doctors, nurses, and staff at Columbia St. Mary’s for there hard work and dedication treating her disease.
