Danny LeRoy Owings, Jr. passed away on September 8, 2026, in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, after a sudden illness, surrounded by his loving family. He was born on May 15, 1977, in Milwaukee, and will be remembered as a devoted husband, proud father, loving son and brother, and a man whose great heart touched those around him.

Danny graduated from Pius High School in 1995 and went on to build a dedicated career at UPS that spanned 31 years. He was also a proud member of Teamsters Local 344. He found joy in collecting action figures of all kinds, including Marvel, Spawn, DC, and POPS. He enjoyed playing video games, building Legos, going to the movies, and spending time adoring his Bronco and Porsche. These interests reflected his enthusiasm, his sense of fun, and the warmth he brought to everyday life.

He is survived by his beloved wife, Sharla Trapp; his son and pride and joy, Kayden Owings; his father, Danny Owings Sr.; and his mother, Mary Jane Owings(Schwoegler). He is also lovingly remembered by his stepchildren, Brianne Heil (Caleb) daughters Avi and Remi, John Ydunate and his wife Cece, and Christopher Ydunate and his wife Erika. Danny is further survived by his sisters, Melisa Owings and her husband Jason, and Samantha. He will be deeply missed by all who shared in his life and love. He will be missed by aunts, uncles, cousins, friends and colleagues.

He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, George and Helen Owings; his maternal grandparents, Joseph and Delores Schwoegler; his father-in-law and mother-in-law, Gene and Lorie Trapp; and his niece, Jenna Vallette.
