Delroy Henry Welle

May 27, 1941 – September 3, 2026

Beloved husband of Susan (Nee Glas) and loving father of son David Welle and daughter Anne (Brian) Japuntich, passed away on Thursday, September 3, 2026. He is also survived by grandsons Saul Japuntich and Clayton (Kaila) Japuntich, great-grandchildren Rodney, Reinette, and Reagan Japuntich, along with his sisters Gloria (Gene) Thomsen, Karen Fussy, and Brenda (Dennis) Meyer, as well as other relatives and friends.

Del was married to Susan for 60 years and was a long-time resident of Franklin, WI. He graduated from the University of North Dakota and obtained a master’s degree at UW-Madison in electrical engineering.

Del was born in Lastrup, Minnesota. He was preceded in death by his parents, Norbert and Leona (Nee Boser) Welle.

Del loved to dance, plant various trees and hostas, study astronomy, and put out 17 feeders for the birds in winter.

A memorial gathering will be held at Max A Sass & Sons – Mission Hills Chapel – 8910 W. Drexel Ave. Franklin, WI 53132, on Friday, September 25th, from 10:00 am until the time of the service at 11:00 am
