In loving memory of Dennis Buchan “Denny”
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Denny Buchan, who left us peacefully on July 25, 2026, surrounded by family. Born on October 8, 1945, in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. Denny was a cherished husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend.
Denny was the beloved husband of Jean Lynn Buchan for 59 years of marriage. Proud father of Matthew (Jes Myers) and Steven (Rachael), and grandchildren Mavrick, Hunter, Kolton, and Destiny. Denny is survived by his sisters, Sandra, Joanne, and Penny, along with numerous other family members and friends who were touched by his warmth and humor.
Preceded in death by his parents, Wayne and Josephine Buchan, and his beloved daughter, Amy Lynn. Denny’s legacy is carried forward by those who had the privilege of knowing him.
Denny graduated from Muskego High School; he served in the U.S. Army Reserve from 1967 to 1973 and was a coach and scout leader. He began his career at Allis-Chalmers and later devoted his career to sales, where his nature and genuine interest in people allowed him to excel. His commitment to his community was evident through his long-standing involvement with the Ronald McDonald House Charities of Eastern Wisconsin, where he was a founding member and served as an active Board of Directors member from 1984 until his passing. This organization held a special place in his heart, and he worked tirelessly to support the families who benefited from its services.
Denny was an avid hunter who enjoyed the annual deer camp, finding solace and joy in the great outdoors. He enjoyed time spent at his lake home up north, a sanctuary where he could unwind and share stories with those close to him.
Denny has a knack for making people feel at ease, always ready with a joke or a friendly conversation.
In honor of Denny’s life and his dedication to the community, his family kindly requests that memorial donations be made to the Ronald McDonald House Charities of Eastern Wisconsin, located in Wauwatosa, WI.
A celebration of life will be held on August 8th at Max A Sass – Westwood Chapel, W173 S7629 Westwood Dr., Muskego, WI 53150, from 1:00 pm until the time of service at 4:00 pm, to celebrate Denny’s life and bid farewell to a man who brought joy and love to those who knew him.
The family wishes to extend their heartfelt gratitude to the staff of Froedtert Memorial Hospital ICU for their kindness and support during this difficult time.
