Dolores M. Gorlewski

Dolores M. Gorlewski (nee Wesolowski), age 98, peacefully passed away, reunited in spirit with her beloved husband, Leo Gorlewski, with whom she shared many cherished years of marriage.

Dolores was a devoted mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend. She had a deep love for gardening, enjoyed visiting with her family, and remained active throughout her life by participating in competitive walks. Her caring nature and willingness to help others were evident to all who knew her. Dolores made it a point to remember every birthday, never failing to send a card filled with love and warmth. Her kindness, grace, and boundless energy made her life an inspiration to those around her.

A longtime and active member of St. Matthias Catholic Church, Dolores worked in the church office for many years and generously volunteered her time to support fellow parishioners. Her commitment to her faith and community left an enduring legacy.

Dolores is survived by her loving children, Karen (Rich) Bruss, Susan (Rick) Tholen, and Lynn (Larry) Gram; her cherished grandchildren, Cynthia (David) Menke, Scott (Teri) Bruss, and Kali Tholen (Scott Jahraus); and her adored great-grandchildren, Mia and Ila Jahraus.

She was preceded in death by her siblings: Ralph (the late Theresa) Wesolowski, Ruth (the late Marvin) Sowinski, and Terri Wesolowski, as well as her brother-in-law, Dennis (the late Joyce) Gorlewski. Dolores is also survived by her brother-in-law, Walter (the late Dolores) Gorlewski, sister-in-law, Jane (the late Edward) Wdowicki, and many other relatives and friends who will deeply miss her presence.

Visitation will be held at St. Matthias Catholic Church (9306 W. Beloit Rd., Milwaukee) on Monday, January 5th from 9:00 AM to 10:45 AM followed by the Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 AM. Private interment will take place at Mount Olivet Cemetery at a later date.
