Donald G. Fabish (November 1, 1942 – January 2, 2026) and Anne M. Fabish (née Uttke) (August 25, 1958 – January 19, 2026) shared 37 years of marriage and a lifetime of love, laughter, and steadfast devotion to one another and their family.

Donald was born and raised in South Milwaukee and graduated from South Milwaukee High School. He proudly served in the United States Army as a high-speed radio operator during the Vietnam War. After returning home, he worked as a steeplejack before earning his journeyman industrial electrician credentials through MATC. He retired from Emerson Electric (formerly Appleton Electric). Donald had a lifelong love of reading, math, and history. He enjoyed crossword puzzles, chess, model building, and the music of The Rolling Stones. He appreciated sharp humor and especially loved Monty Python’s Flying Circus.

Anne was born on August 25, 1958, and grew up in Caledonia, graduating from J. I. Case High School. She worked for Lucas Milhaupt, Allen Bradley, and most recently as a medical coder for Aurora Health Care until her retirement in November 2025. Anne found joy in music—especially Billy Joel and Elton John—and in caring for others through cooking and baking. A talented quilter and fiber artist, she loved quilting, crocheting, and knitting. She was a proud member of the Wandering Foot Quilt Guild and The Cutting Bees Guild, and she created countless handmade treasures for family, friends, charities, and outreach groups. Every stitch was an expression of love.

Donald and Anne met while playing in a dart league and were married in July of 1988. They made their home in Cudahy, where they spent most of their lives together. They were true companions—enjoying music, quiet evenings at home, shared humor, and simply being side by side. Their partnership was built on loyalty, warmth, and affection.

Donald was preceded in death by his parents, Harold and Elizabeth Fabish (née Bonavitz); his brother Charles Fabish; and his sister June Fabish. Anne was preceded in death by her parents, Arnold and Patricia Uttke (née Ramsdell); many aunts and uncles; and shortly before her passing, her beloved husband Donald.

Together, they leave behind their son, Nicholas Fabish (Stephanie Fabish); their daughter Patricia Campbell (Lawrence Campbell); grandchildren Owen, Nolan, and Lyla Poulsen (Father David Poulsen); Anne’s brothers Michael Uttke and David Uttke (Sue); Donald’s youngest brother James Fabish (Joanne); and many extended family members and friends.

Though their passing came barely weeks apart, there is comfort in knowing they are together once more. Their legacy lives on in the family they cherished, the lessons they taught, the laughter they shared, and the love that will continue to surround all who knew them.
