Doris Anne “Dorie” Peters, passed away peacefully on October 14, 2026, at the age of 76. She was reunited with Michael “Mike,” her beloved husband of 54 years.

Dorie was a loving mother to Leah (Dan), Andrea, Christa, and Daniel. She was a cherished grandmother to Owen, Grace, Sophie, Kristie, Tabatha, Alyssa (Justin), and Logan, and a proud great-grandmother to Jace, Gemma, and the soon to arrive Jensen. She will be dearly missed by her extended family and many friends.

Dorie was actively involved with the Girl Scouts while her children were growing up. She had a love for her faith, camping, and trips to the casino. A devoted John Denver fan, she especially enjoyed his music, which held a special place in her heart.

Visitation will be held at Max A. Sass & Sons-Greenridge Chapel, 4747 S. 60th St., Greenfield, on Wednesday, October 21st starting at 3PM until the time of the funeral service at 6PM. Burial will be held at Mount Olivet Cemetery on Thursday, October 22 at 10AM; please meet at the cemetery main office.
