Dorothy D. Fennig was born to Eternal Life on Thursday, August 20, 2026, at the age of 93.

She was the beloved wife of the late Daniel J. Fennig and the late Wayne D. Zimmermann. Loving mother of Nancy (Dennis) Purtell, Sandra (Ron) Seyk, Susan (Steven) Schultz, Therese, and Connie (Tim) Ramseyer, as well as stepchildren Fred (Debbie) Zimmermann and Stacy Zimmermann.

Dorothy was a cherished grandmother to Lauren (Patrick) Weisseg, Michael (Katelynn) Purtell, Daniel, Olivia (Mitchell) Rotta, and Ian, and great-grandmother to Reagan, Luke, Connor, Jack, and Callan

She was preceded in death by her brother, Robert (the late Shirley) Tab. She is further survived by her sister-in-law, Cassie Fennig; nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.

Visitation will be held on Friday, August 28, from 5:00 PM until the time of the service at 6:00 PM at Max A. Sass & Sons – Mission Hills Chapel, 8910 W. Drexel Ave., Franklin, WI 53132.

A private Requiem Mass and burial have taken place. Dorothy is laid to rest next to her beloved husband, Daniel, at Southern Wisconsin Veterans Memorial Cemetery.
