Douglas G. Slock II died on Sunday, February 22, 2026, at the age of 53. Born on December 29, 1972, he was the beloved son of Douglas and Margaret (Riley) Slock. He spent nearly his entire life with his best friend / younger sister Nicole (Guenther) and grew up with a large loving family of aunts, uncles and cousins. Douglas was preceded in death by his mother.

Douglas spent the first 18 years of his life moving from state to state as a member of the Marine Corps family since his father was on active duty. During that time, Douglas grew up in Florida, Pennsylvania, North Carolina, Wisconsin, California and Tennessee. He never had difficulty making friends even though he attended many different schools throughout the years. Douglas found success and athletic recognition in high school wrestling.

He was married in June 1997 in Memphis, Tennessee to Kelly (Baker). Together they welcomed their son, Parker. Douglas relocated to Wisconsin in 2002 and several years later he developed a very special relationship with Wendy Grablewski, the mother of their children Gracelyn and Aidan.

Douglas worked many jobs over the years in the service industry, finally finding job satisfaction in home construction as a finish carpenter. He loved to tinker with anything electrical or mechanical. He found joy in understanding the intricacies of the how and why something worked. He took pride in renovating his own living space, which was a never-ending project full of automation and electronic controls.

Douglas’s sense of humor was evident to all that he met. His quick wit and conversation skills made any discussion with him interesting to say the least. His loyalty and devotion to family and friends was unwavering
