Edward B. Eisendrath

Edward Benjamin Eisendrath was born May 16, 1943, in Milwaukee Wisconsin. His parents were David Eisendrath and Eleanor Parkinson Eisendrath. Ed’s family lived in Milwaukee on Lakeshore Drive for many years. Ed attended the University School of Milwaukee from kindergarten through high school. He continued to be active in the USM alumni association. Ed attended Parsons College, Fairfield, Iowa, and then returned to the Milwaukee area.

Edward was baptized and confirmed at Immanuel Presbyterian Church. He sang in the church choir for many years and there met his future wife, Alice Schaub. Ed and Alice were married at Immanuel Presbyterian June 21, 1980. Alice’s cousin drove the bride and groom from the church to the reception venue in his 1937 Packard 7-passenger limousine. After Alice and Ed moved to Greendale, they became members of Greendale Community Church.

Following college, Ed entered the travel industry and worked as a travel agent during his entire career planning vacations and business trips for many, many clients. Alice and Ed enjoyed many long-distance trips. Their grand adventure was a 9-week trip around the world. Ed enjoyed visiting all the magnificent sights around the world as well as seeing the corn and green bean fields of his father-in-law in Oconto County.

Ed was a long-time member of the Milwaukee Athletic Club where he swam many mornings before work and made many lasting friends.

Edward Eisendrath is survived by his wife, Alice nee Schaub Eisendrath; sister, Ellen (Paul) James, California; brother-in-law, Kenneth (Peggy), Sun Prairie, WI; nieces and nephews, Mia James, Ian James, Ryu Go-Eun or Emily Schaub, Jonathan (Katie) Schaub, Gavin James, Kathy Mann, Connie Owen, Dick Mann; and great-nephew, JaeMin Kenneth Schaub, whom he adored. Ed was looking forward to a new great-nephew to be born in spring. 

Ed was preceded in death by his parents, David and Eleanor Eisendrath; his in-laws, James and Ruth Schaub; his half-siblings and cousins.

Funeral services for Ed Eisendrath will be held Saturday, January 31st at Greendale Community Church, 6015 Clover Lane, Greendale, WI. Visitation at 10:30 am, service at 12:00 noon with lunch and conversation following. Burial will follow later at Wisconsin Memorial Cemetery near his parents. In lieu of flowers, memorials to Greendale Community Church or the Crohn's and Colitis Foundation (https://www.crohnscolitisfoundation.org/) appreciated.
