Ernest Albert Krueger, 94
Ernest Albert Krueger, age 94, passed away on January 25, 2026. He was born on January 6, 1932, in Wauwatosa, Wisconsin.
Ernest spent much of his life connected to his Midwestern roots. His life spanned nearly a century and included many chapters and experiences.
Ernest worked for American Motors in the art department as a catalog writer and later in sales. He also worked for Handy Andy, where he was involved in kitchen design. Outside of his professional life, poetry was a passion. He appreciated language and expression, and writing served as a meaningful personal outlet throughout the years.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Edward and Johanna Krueger; and by his siblings: John (Stella) Krueger, Lillian (Dan) Otzelberger, Marie (Frank) Grebe, Caroline (John) Makoutz, Ruth (Edwin) Millard, Karl (Grace) Krueger, Frederick Krueger, George Krueger, Leona Krueger, Edward Krueger, Lucille Krueger, and Warren (Virginia) Krueger.
He is survived by his children, Randy (Stephanie) Krueger, Sr., Gary Krueger, Richard (Pam) Krueger, and Rebecca (Matthew) Fordham.
He is also survived by his grandchildren, Kimberly Merolla, Kristin (Chris) Culpepper, Randy (Brooke) Krueger, Jr., Allison (Michael) Costello, Angela Krueger, Jaime Rhody, Kathryn Stein, Jodi Westwood, Taylor Krueger, Mark Fordham, Joseph Hartley, and Alexander Fordham.
His great-grandchildren include Hannah (Eric) Niece, Miriam Doshoian, Amelia Doshoian, Peyton Culpepper, Brock Culpepper, Alyssa Sanderson, Chloe Rhody, Lilly Rhody, Michael Acevedo, Gabriel Zink, Madison Zink, Isla Semessini, and Calahan Costello.
His great-great-grandchildren are Daphne Niece, Miles Niece, and Jesse Hodge.
He is further survived by his sisters Kathrine (Gilbert) Hansen, who has since passed on March 5, 2026, and Eleanore Krueger, as well as extended family members and friends.
A memorial service will be held on July 23, 2026, at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Taylor, Michigan, with a reception immediately following at the VFW.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly asks that donations be made to the American Red Cross in Ernest Krueger’s name, as they were a source of support and assistance to him after the fire.
