Evangelos Voulikis

In Eternal memory, Evangelos V. Voulikis, 86, of South Milwaukee, passed away peacefully on Sunday, September 20, 2026.

Evangelos was born in Greece on September 13, 1940, to the late Vasilios and Penelope (Stravrou) Voulikis. He served in the Greek Military before immigrating to the United States from Ioannina, Greece, in 1969 with his beloved wife, Eleni. The couple had been united in marriage in Greece before beginning their new life together in America.

Evangelos was a hardworking, dedicated, and loyal man who took great pride in everything he did. He never called out of work and retired three separate times, only to be asked to return because of his exceptional work ethic and genuine love for what he did. For Evangelos, his work was never simply a job—it was his hobby and something he truly enjoyed. Evangelos was also known for being organized and taking great pride in keeping his living space meticulously clean and well maintained.

Above all, Evangelos was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather. He was a protector and provider for his family, always putting their needs first. He had a warm and welcoming personality and was a friend to everyone he met. Evangelos was someone people could turn to for guidance. He gave great advice and generously shared his wisdom and experiences about life. He had a wealth of knowledge about life and was always willing to share what he had learned with those around him. His words, stories, and lessons will continue to live on through the many people whose lives he touched.

He will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by his wife of many years, Eleni; his children, Penelope (Thomas) Machak and Chris (Misty) Voulikis; grandchildren, Sofia (Israel), Nikolaos, and Evangelia; great-grandchild, Apollonia; sister-in-law, Philipe; nieces, nephews, other relatives, and many dear friends. He was preceded in death by his brother, Stefano Voulikis.

Visitation will be held at MAX A. SASS & SONS SOUTH SHORE CHAPEL (1314 Manitoba Ave., South Milwaukee), on Thursday, September 24, 2026, from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM, followed by a 7:00 PM prayer service.

A second visitation will be held at Kimissis Tis Theotokou Church (1335 S. Green Bay Road, Racine), on Friday, September 25, 2026, from 10:00 AM until 10:45 AM, followed by the funeral service at 11:00 AM at the church. Burial will take place in Forest Hill Cemetery in Oak Creek.
