Everado Z. "Eddie" Castillo, a cherished soul whose laughter and adventurous spirit brought joy to all who knew him, passed away peacefully on December 25, 2025, in Milwaukee, WI. Born on August 9, 1940, in Eagle Pass, TX, Eddie's journey through life was marked by an unwavering love for his family, a passion for simple pleasures, and a deep Christian faith that guided his every step.
Eddie was the beloved husband of the late Josephine Castillo, with whom he shared thirty beautiful years of marriage. Together, they raised a vibrant family that included their children, Nanette Castillo, Eddie Castillo Jr, Sylvia Malacara, Rose Marie De La O, Annette (Lucio) Nunez, Margaret (Anthony) Gude, Marlene (Jacinto) Torres, the late Sandra Malacara Trevino, Melanie (Jimmy) Santiago, and Elidia (Rafael) Rosales. As a devoted father and stepfather, Eddie's legacy continued to blossom through the lives of his many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren, who will carry forward his stories and infectious sense of humor. He is further survived by his brothers and sisters, as well as many nieces and nephews and friends.
A true fan of life's simple pleasures, Eddie could often be found cheering on his beloved Dallas Cowboys, reminiscing about classic wrestling matches, or getting lost in the tales of old Westerns. His love for these pastimes was only matched by the love he had for his family and friends.
Those who knew Eddie will remember a man who was not only funny but also deeply loving and adventurous. He approached life with a sense of curiosity and wonder that was infectious, inspiring those around him to embrace each day with joy and gratitude. Eddie's Christian faith was the cornerstone of his existence, providing him with strength and solace throughout his life's journey.
Eddie's passing leaves behind a void that cannot be filled, but his spirit will continue to live on in the hearts of those he touched.
