Florence A. Groth

Florence A Groth, lovingly known as “Flo,” passed away peacefully on December 29, 2025, in Greenfield, Wisconsin, leaving behind a vibrant tapestry of memories woven through the lives she touched. Born on July 22, 1936, in the idyllic setting of Prairie Du Chien, Flo blossomed into a fun-loving and caring spirit, whose radiant smile could light up even the darkest of days.

Flo dedicated her career to the administrative realms of P&H, JcPenny, and M&I Bank, a testament to her unwavering work ethic and commitment to excellence. Yet beyond her professional endeavors lay her heart's true treasures—her family and her passions. A lifelong devotee of cats, an avid fan of Elvis, and an insatiable reader, her interests revealed the simple joys that brought her happiness throughout her life.

As a devoted mother, Flo nurtured the lives of her children—Darlene, Laura(Michael), Peter(Douang),creating a household of warmth and laughter. Her legacy continued through her grandchildren, each of whom carries a piece of her in their hearts: Michael(Glo), Jeremy, Holly(Robert), Sarah(Will), Jacob(Lori), and Ben(Dawn), Beth(Michael) along with her many great-grandchildren, are forever enriched by the values instilled by her loving presence.

In her community, Flo was a cherished long-time member of the Greendale American Legion Auxiliary unit 416, where her contributions spoke volumes about her character and dedication to service.

She is now reunited with her beloved husband, Orlan “Pete,” and her dear son, Dennis, as well as her granddaughter Erin and son-in-law Jon, who left this world too soon. Each mourned loss carved spaces into her heart, but the love they shared continues to resonate through her family.

The visitation for Florence A. Groth will take place on January 8, 2026, from 1:00 PM to 3:30 PM, followed by a funeral service at 3:30 PM, all at Max A. Sass & Sons Funeral and Cremation Greenridge Chapel, located at 4747 S. 60th Street, Greenfield, WI 53220.

Florence A. Groth’s journey on this earth may have concluded, but the echoes of her laughter, the warmth of her smile, and the kind spirit she embodied will forever remain in the hearts of those who loved her. She touched many lives with her joyous presence, and her memory will continue to inspire and comfort all who knew her.
