Gary L. “Lizard/Liz” Livesey

Gary L. Livesey passed away peacefully at the age of 76 on Wednesday, 4/15/2026 with his family at his side. Born on September 21, 1949 in Milwaukee, WI, he was the youngest son of George and Irene (nee Michalski) and brother to James (Starr) Livesey who preceded him in death.

Although Gary lived the bachelor life he is now reunited with the love of his life Cynthia Guenther who also preceded him in death in 2023.

Gary is survived by his brother Tom, his nephews Tom Jr. (Lisa), James Jr. (Alexandra), Jarrett (Lena), great-nephews, cousins, extended family and an amazing group of longtime and lifelong friends.

Gary was a 1967 graduate of Bay View High School and served his country in the Wisconsin Army National Guard reaching the rank of Sergeant. Gary retired from Leader Paper Products after 43 years as the Manager of PC Support, Traffic & Estimating. Gary was an avid sports fan and golfer. After retirement he was able to spend more time golfing with his friends and escaping the winter weather in Arizona.

Gary was the type of guy people were drawn to, someone you just wanted to be around. Well known as the life of the party; he had a quick wit and was an easy going, funny guy who told great stories and loved living life. He will truly be missed by us all.

Private entombment Highland Memorial Park. A ‘going away party’ will be celebrated at a later date at Gary’s request.
