Geneya Grace Kopatich
February 12, 1979 to October 15, 2026
Some people leave this world, but the love they leave behind never does.
Geneya Grace Kopatich, lovingly known to her family and friends as Gea, was a beautiful soul, inside and out. Her beauty was more than what people could see. It lived in her kindness, her patience, her compassion, and the way she made others feel. She had a rare gift for making people feel seen, heard, and appreciated. She listened with genuine interest, remembered the little details, and never missed an opportunity to offer a kind word or make someone feel special. Her warmth, sweetness, and beautiful spirit left an impression on everyone fortunate enough to know her.
Gea was a cherished daughter, a beloved sister, a devoted aunt, and a treasured friend. She will be lovingly remembered by her mother, Norma, her father, Tom Sr., her brother, Tommy, and her three beloved children, daughter Kira and sons AJ and Ace, along with all the family members and friends whose lives she touched. She is now reunited in heaven with her beloved grandparents, Carlos and Maria Mata, her uncle, Mark Mata, and her cousins, Lauren and Christopher Mata.
Her life was not defined by how long she was here, but by the love she gave, the lives she touched, and the legacy she leaves behind. Though her time here feels far too short, the love she gave will continue to live on through her children, her family, and everyone who carries a piece of her in their heart.
Pink was Gea's color. She wore it boldly and beautifully, often paired with the bright pink or red lipstick that suited her so perfectly. In her honor, the family invites everyone attending her services to wear pink, a reflection of the beauty, warmth, and love she brought into this world.
As Edgar Allan Poe wrote in Annabel Lee: “But we loved with a love that was more than love.”
Forever loved. Forever cherished. Forever our Gea.
