Gerald “Jerry” G. Meyers, born April 13, 1940 and raised in Greendale, Wisconsin passed away at home in Greendale on Sunday, March 8, 2026. He was preceded in death by his parents, Wayne and Esther Meyers. He is survived by his loving wife Diane Meyers; his children, Pamela Galindo (Nelson), Kevin Meyers, Kathryn Bennett (Larry), Amy Bhakhri (Sandeep) and his step-daughter Kris McCabe (Andy Dix).

Jerry loved Greendale and devoted his life to making Greendale a great place to live. He graduated from Greendale High School in 1958. He served as a Village Trustee from 1974-1980, Village President from 1980-1982, and Village Trustee again from 1999-2001. Jerry was active on several Village government committees and served as Treasurer for the 50th Anniversary celebration of Greendale. For many years, Jerry was very active in the Jaycees and SAL (Sons of the American Legion). The achievement he was most proud of was his participation in the Greendale Youth Football program where he served as the President of the Board of Directors. Jerry and his wife Diane were dedicated to the success of the program and volunteered together. On February 5, 2016 Jerry and Diane were inducted into the Greendale Athletic Hall of Fame for their work in the Youth Football League.

Jerry LOVED dogs and was the proud dog dad to Muffin, Cory, Clancey, Chelsea and Elsie.

Jerry had many good times at Ray & Dot’s in Greendale where he met many friends.

A visitation will be held at the MAX A. SASS & SONS GREENRIDGE CHAPEL (4747 S. 60th St. Greenfield, WI 53220) on Thursday March 12th from 4-7 PM with a service at 7 PM. Private burial will be at Woodlawn Cemetery.
