Gerald Martin Susnik, known affectionately as Jerry, passed away on April 29, 2026, in Franklin, Wisconsin, at the age of 84.

He was born on March 11, 1942, in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, and spent his life rooted in the values of hard work, loyalty, and love for family. Jerry was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, uncle, and friend whose steady presence and kind heart touched the lives of many. He will be remembered most for being selfless, loving, and thoughtful in all that he did.

Jerry graduated from Boys Tech High School with the Class of 1960. Shortly after high school, he answered the call to serve his country by joining the United States Air Force. His time in the Air Force reflected the discipline and sense of duty that would characterize his life in the years that followed. After his military service, Jerry built a long and respected career as a shipping and receiving manager at Erie Manufacturing, where he worked for more than 30 years. He took pride in his work and was known as someone who could be counted on, day after day, to do his job with care and consistency.

Above all else, Jerry treasured his family. He was the beloved husband of the late Robin T. Susnik, his wife of nearly 60 years. Their marriage was a lasting example of devotion, partnership, and shared commitment through all of life’s seasons. Together, they built a loving family and a home filled with memories that will be cherished always. He is survived by his children, Bryan Susnik and Shannon (Andy) Wakeman, who will carry forward the lessons of strength, kindness, and integrity that he demonstrated throughout his life. He was a proud grandfather to Ella, Aubrie, Brayden, and Ryder, each of whom brought him great joy and pride. He is also survived by his niece, Susan (Chris) Goeb, as well as other relatives and friends who were fortunate to know him and share in his life.

Jerry enjoyed the simple pleasures that made life meaningful. He loved golfing and appreciated time spent outdoors, where he could relax and enjoy the game he loved. He was also a devoted Wisconsin sports fan and followed the Milwaukee Brewers and Green Bay Packers with enthusiasm and loyalty. Whether cheering on his teams, spending time with family, or enjoying a quiet day surrounded by those he loved, Jerry found happiness in the moments that mattered most.

Those who knew Jerry will remember his dependable nature, his warm spirit, and the quiet generosity that defined the way he lived. He was the kind of man who put others first, offered help without hesitation, and made those around him feel valued. His legacy is one of love, service, and steadfast devotion to family and friends.

Jerry’s life was a testament to the enduring importance of faith, family, and hard work. Though he will be deeply missed, his memory will live on in the hearts of all who loved him. His family and friends will forever cherish the many years of laughter, wisdom, and love he gave so freely.

He was further survived by other relatives and friends who will hold him in loving remembrance.

There will be a celebration of life at a later date. Please check back for details.
