Behrendt, Gerald R. "Jerry" Age 79. Life began joyously for Jerry on July 25, 1930 and ended peacefully on January 6, 2010. He was preceded in death by his beloved wife LaVonne (Nee Brunner). Loving father of Mary, John (Ann) and Heidi (William) Willingham. Dearest "Papa Jerry" to Benjamin, Joshua. Zachary, Jacob and Gabriel. Special friend of Gail Kutz and Maddy. Also survived by many cousins and friends. Visitation Saturday January 9, 2010 9-9:45 AM at ST. CHARLES BORROMEO CHURCH (5571 S. Marilyn St.) with Funeral Mass at 10 Am. Entombment Arlington Park Cemetery. Jerry was an over-the-road trucker. He traveled the highways and byways of America. No load was too high or too wide. He loved the freedom of the open road!
